Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are now being linked with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are interested in signing David Raya from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Bayern Munich are also keen on signing Raya this summer.
The 27-year-old Spain international goalkeeper reportedly favours a move to “long-term admirers” Arsenal, where “he would be reunited with former Brentford goalkeeper coach Inaki Cana”.
The report has added that Brentford are aware of interest from Arsenal in Raya, but the Gunners have not made an offer yet.
The Athletic, though, has claimed that Arsenal “are exploring a deal to sign” Raya.
David Raya could compete with Aaron Ramsdale at Arsenal
In our opinion, Brentford goalkeeper David Raya would be a very good signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old Spain international goalkeeper would compete with Aaron Ramsdale and give the England international proper competition for a place in the Arsenal starting lineup.

Although Matt Turner is a very good goalkeeper, he is not at the level yet where he can seriously challenge Ramsdale.
Raya is very good with his feet and is brilliant at saving shots.
And he is 27 now.
Raya is at the top of his game at the moment and would be able to go straight into the Arsenal team if manager Mikel Arteta wanted him to.
The Spaniard has made 62 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Raya has kept 20 clean sheets in those matches.
Arsenal will be determined to win the Premier League title next season and will also be keen on making a big impact in the UEFA Champions League.
That Raya reportedly favours Arsenal over Bayern Munich shows just how attractive the Gunners are now to play for.
