Tottenham Hotspur right-back Serge Aurier might have got the most expensive haircut in the history of haircuts.

Earlier this week it was reported that Spurs were investigating the Ivorian after he posted a photo of himself and his barber on Instagram.

This was the third time that the Tottenham defender had breached lockdown guidelines.

And according to The Sun, the North Londoners are set to give him a fine of two weeks wages, which equates to around £140,000.

Yep, a very expensive haircut.

The report added that Tottenham feel as if the 27-year-old has embarrassed the club, hence the severity of the punishment.

Aurier came out swinging after the story broke on Wednesday and insisted that he and his barber had both tested negative for the health problem which has brought Europe to its knees in recent months.

But it looks like the rationale won’t be enough to get him off the hook as he reportedly prepares for a major fine.
