Arsenal star tops the Premier League in assists since he signed for the club.

No player has more assists in the Premier League that Santi Cazorla since he signed for Arsenal in the beginning of 2012/13.
The Spaniard signed from Malaga for a bargain price of £16 million, reported The Sun at the time, and he has been a near immaculate player for them ever since.
Cazorla is underrated by many, in comparison to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard who was signed for twice the price by Chelsea from Lille the same summer, and has one less assist than the Spanish international in exactly the same number of games.
| Assists | Appearances | |
|---|---|---|
| Santiago Cazorla | 27 | 100 |
| Eden Hazard | 26 | 100 |
| Wayne Rooney | 25 | 84 |
| Steven Gerrard | 23 | 94 |
| Juan Mata | 22 | 90 |
| Samir Nasri | 21 | 83 |
| David Silva | 21 | 85 |
Wayne Rooney is only two behind Cazorla, and advocates of the Manchester United captain will be keen to point out he has played in 14 less games than the Arsenal star.
Cazorla’s form has too been remarkably consistent over the past three seasons in terms of creativity, despite being moved around in various positions under Arsene Wenger, on the wing, in a deeper role, and in a central attacking role behind the striker.
| Season | Assists | |
|---|---|---|
| Santiago Cazorla | 2012-2013 | 11 |
| Santiago Cazorla | 2013-2014 | 8 |
| Santiago Cazorla | 2014-2015 | 8 |
In terms of goals scored, Cazorla has netted only once from open play in the Premier League this season, compared to 12 times in his debut season, and this is a clear area for improvement, and would certainly help his chances of being involved in terms of individual honours.
A lack of accolades will not concern the selfless Spaniard, but with one FA Cup medal already to his name since joining the club, more trophies could soon follow if he helps the Gunners keep up the form they are showing at the end of 2014/15.
