Tottenham Hotspur right-back Emerson Royal has been left out of the Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar, but his Spurs teammate Richarlison is in.
The Brazil squad for the Qatar World Cup has been announced, and there is no place for Tottenham player Emerson, who has been playing as a right wing-back under head coach Antonio Conte.
Richarlison, though, has been included in the squad.
The Brazil international forward will recover from his injury in time for the World Cup.
Disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal
In our view, the news that he is not in the World Cup squad will come as a disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Emerson Royal.
The £25.8 million (BBC Sport) player has not been playing particularly well for Tottenham this season, but he is a good player.

And he is only 23 who was at Barcelona before his move to Tottenham.
That shows just how good he is.
Emerson will now have to work hard in the coming weeks and months and get to the level needed to be a regular in the Brazil squad.
The 23-year-old has already earned seven caps for Brazil, which suggests that he is certainly in the frame for a major international competition in the future.
