Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Inter Milan-owned hitman.

Marco Silva the head coach

Marco Silva has undoubtedly made huge improvements since taking over as manager of Everton in the summer, but it could be argued that his side are still in desperate need of another top quality forward.

According to Goal Brazil, one player in particular who is attracting interest from the Toffees is Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa, commonly known as Gabigol.

The 22-year-old in currently on loan with Brazilian side Santos, and has been in fine form, scoring 25 goals in 49 outings.

Gabigol’s loan spell with Santos ends in January, however, and according to UOL, Inter Milan will be willing to listen to offers of around £26 million for the forward.

In today’s day and age, that amount could very well represent a real bargain for Everton, if the 22-year-old manages to find his best form.

The Brazilian Olympic gold medal winner can play anywhere along the front-line, and he would surely strike up an excellent partnership with his countryman Richarlison at Goodison Park.

Everton seem to be on the verge of creating a wonderfully exciting football team, and should they bring Gabigol to Merseyside for just £26 million, they really would be an incredibly dangerous attacking outfit.
