Jordan Lukaku sealed a deadline day move to Antwerp yesterday, just weeks after it was claimed that Leeds United had bid.
Gazetta dello Sport say that Leeds made a £4 million bid to sign Lukaku, but Lazio batted it away.
Instead they have now loaned the Belgian back to his homeland, with Antwerp having an option to buy him next year.
Leeds never actually did make the purchase of a full-back on deadline day, despite being linked with several left-backs throughout the summer.
Leeds were linked with Lukaku and Yasser Larouci, among others, but no deal ultimately went through.

That means that Stuart Dallas looks likely to remain in Leeds’ starting line-up, at least until January, when the Whites will be able to buy players from abroad again.
Lukaku, meanwhile, will be aiming to help Antwerp continue their relatively bright start to the season – as his new side currently sit in fifth place.
