Arsenal face Watford this weekend, and while a game for the Gunners against a team battling relegation would usually be straightforward, the Hornets are something of a bogey team for Arsenal.

Indeed, Watford often give the Gunners a run for their money, and with Roy Hodgson at the helm, they may prove to be tough to break down at the back.

However, the north Londoners still come into this game as favourites, and if Mikel Arteta gets his team selection right, Arsenal should get all three points here.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Arsenal’s starting XI for this one.

We think that Mikel Arteta will make just one change from the team that beat Wolves.

Nicolas Pepe netted after coming off the bench against the Midlands outfit, and we think that the Ivorian could be rewarded with his first start of 2022 here.

Emile Smith Rowe missed the Wolves game through illness, while Gabriel Martinelli wasn’t at his best, so this could be an opportunity for Pepe to shine.

Other than that, it’s the same team that won 2-0 last time out. Takehiro Tomiyasu doesn’t return to the XI yet as he’s still a doubt due to an injury.
