Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel has committed his future to the club after links with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Mathys Tel seemingly has no plans to leave Bayern Munich for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Tottenham fans have probably seen enough rumours surrounding Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for one summer.

Bayern continue to chase Kane’s signature and most Spurs fans – and probably Ange Postecoglou – would like this situation sorted one way or the other.

One interesting rumour did emerge last week though as The Telegraph reported that Tottenham had an interest in a potential exchange.

It was stated that Tottenham have been making enquiries into signing Bayern Munich talent Mathys Tel.

Tottenham allegedly wanted to use Bayern’s interest in Kane to try and further their pursuit of Tel, seemingly seeking to land the Frenchman in exchange for Kane.

Sadly for Tottenham, it sounds like Tel just has no interest in making the move to North London this summer…

Tottenham target Mathys Tel commits future to Bayern Munich

Tel has now spoken to Sky Germany about his future and appears to have no plans to join Tottenham.

The 18-year-old has indicated that Bayern is the only club in his head right now and he is committed to staying in Bavaria and improving.

“I’m 100% Bavarian. I’m with FC Bayern,” said Tel. “I play here. I want to get better in Munich. I want to learn, speak, work. In my head there’s only FC Bayern. Mia san mia,” he added.

Tel wants to prove himself at Bayern and it’s worth remembering that he only joined the club last summer.

After emerging at French club Rennes, Tel completed a £25million move to Bayern with the Bundesliga club feeling they had landed a real talent.

The teenager turned out 28 times for Bayern last season, bagging six goals along the way.

A ‘very quick’ and versatile forward who can play all across the front line, Tel looks destined to become a superstar in the coming years.

Tottenham fans would hate to lose Kane but could have somewhat stomached his exit if a wonderkid like Tel was coming in.

Sadly for Spurs, Tel wants to stay with Bayern and his stance only adds to the confusion surrounding Kane’s future.
