Kieran Tierney told Sky Sports that his Arsenal teammate Emile Smith Rome is an ‘amazing’ player and he is adamant that he will go ‘very far in the game’.
Both players linked up brilliantly over the weekend as Arsenal dispatched their North London rivals.
It could be argued that either player deserved the Man of the Match award at the end of the game, as they ran Gareth Bale and Matt Doherty ragged over on that left-hand side.
Tierney, who moved from Celtic for £25 million in 2019 (Sky Sports), spoke highly of the rising Arsenal star and what he is like off the field of play.
“I think he’s amazing, what a player, honestly,” said Tierney. “I think you can see how much I enjoy playing with him.
“The other day (NLD). I linked up well well with him I thought. There is a good understanding and off the pitch as well. He’s a great guy. He’s a humble guy and he will go very far in the game.”

At the start of the season, Arsenal were looking for that creative spark in midfield, with the club searching the transfer market for a player and ultimately not bringing anyone in.
Arsenal’s decision to leave Mesut Ozil out of their 25-man squad didn’t help anyone’s cause, as Smith Rowe was still a back-up player as the club. struggled to their worst start in decades.
But just like Bukayo Saka, as soon as Smith Rowe has been given some rope, he has grabbed it with both hands and pulled himself into the first-team picture.
