Llorente’s contract expires in June, but for now Tottenham may be left relying on him, after Harry Kane suffered an ankle injury.
Spurs could end up missing out though, after an unnamed Premier League rival was claimed to have submitted an offer.
Spanish outlet La Vanguardia report a mid-ranking English top flight side has made an offer for the forward.
Iglesias has a 28 million release clause (£25 million).
This season the forward has scored nine goals in 18 games for the ninth placed La Liga side, also providing two assists.
Iglesias would be eligible for Tottenham’s Champions League campaign if they wished to make a move.
The 25-year-old could be more than a stop-gap signing for Spurs in Kane’s absence, with Llorente set to move on.
If they don’t move now, they could soon be lining up against him in the Premier League.
