If Barella was to arrive at Liverpool he could well serve as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum’s contract with the Reds is set to expire in the summer, and they still haven’t been able to tie him down to a new deal.
If Wijnaldum does depart then Liverpool will surely be in the market for a new signing in the summer.
