Nottingham Forest have had a spectacular summer.

So far, the newly-promoted Premier League outfit have dropped almost £150 million during their recruitment drive, with almost a third of that going on Morgan Gibbs-White.

Earlier in the window, Nottingham Forest were also linked to Yusuf Yazici of Lille and it remains to be seen if interest is stepped up between now and September.

But Yazici had a very interesting performance on Sunday.

He played 58 inutes as the Ligue 1 outfit were hammered 7-1 by Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite the scoreline, and playing less than an hour, Yazici himself seems to have played relatively well, with WhoScored noting that he created four goalscoring chances for his side.

He also managed a pass success rate of 90 percent.

Considering the horrific scoreline, it seems like Yazici’s standard remains relatively high despite the context and it’ll be interesting to see if Nottingham Forest – or Fulham, also linked – step up their pursuit.

As mentioned, the Reds have already enjoyed a substantial summer on the investment front, so it seems possible that their spending is finished until January at the earliest.

But if not, Yazici certainly seems worth exploring.
