We’re only six games into the Premier League season, and Chelsea are already in turmoil.

The Blues have sacked their manager Thomas Tuchel and have decided to replace him with Graham Potter in a move that is bound to split opinions within the squad.

For some, such as Marc Cucurella, Potter’s arrival will be welcomed. After all, he is one of the brightest young coaches in England, but at the same time, Potter’s CV isn’t quite at the level you’d expect of a manager of Chelsea – with his two most recent jobs being Swansea City and Brighton – two minnows compared to the Blues.

Whether or not Potter is a success at Chelsea remains to be seen, but right now there’s some serious upheaval happening at Stamford Bridge and it’s not a very stable working environment.

The Blues’ summer signings must be rather concerned by all of this change, and one player, in particular, may be quite happy that he can watch this from a distance – Richarlison.

Indeed, the Brazilian turned down Chelsea for a move to Tottenham earlier this summer, and it looks as though that was the best decision he could’ve made.

The former Everton man is hitting his stride in a stable Spurs team coached by one of the best managers in the world, Antonio Conte, and while he could’ve been a good fit for Tuchel’s Chelsea, that link-up would’ve been short-lived if he’d headed to Stamford Bridge.

At the moment, Spurs seem like they’re more geared for success and they’re much more stable than Chelsea, so Richarlison must be very pleased with his decision to choose the north London side over their western rivals.

In years gone by, a move to Chelsea would’ve been much more appealing than Tottenham, but now, the tables have seemingly turned.
