Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey has told the Telegraph that the club are keen to either sell him or loan him out this summer.
Macey has come up through Arsenal’s youth ranks, but has never quite broken into their first-team.
The 25-year-old spent last season at Arsenal, but he didn’t feature for them.
And, after tasting regular first-team action two years ago with Plymouth Argyle, Macey seems to be keen to leave again.
“For me it is all about playing regular football again,” he says. “My focus is to go and find games wherever I can. The club are keen for me to go and play and be successful, wherever that may be and whether that is on a loan or a permanent deal.”
Macey actually was on the bench in Arsenal’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea.

But the need to keep the commanding goalkeeper around has been reduced due to Emiliano Martinez’s emergence.
Martinez and Bernd Leno are two of the most accomplished stoppers in the Premier League, so Macey has little chance of breaking back into Arsenal’s first-team plans.
Now that he is available, clubs across the Football League will surely be keen to sign him, as he has impressed when out on loan with the likes of Luton Town and Plymouth before.
