The Leeds United defender put in another very solid performance against Queens Park Rangers.

Leeds United did not get the result they wanted against Queens Park Rangers this weekend but their defence looked impressive throughout, with Gaetano Berardi and Pontus Jansson particularly good.
Not for the first time this season the latter delivered a great set of individual statistics and were it not for some poor attacking play at the opposite end of the field, Leeds would have come away with all three points.
This is the business end of the campaign and Leeds manager Garry Monk will have made his players aware of the importance of maintaining their focus and form between now and May.
On this evidence, Jansson is heeding his advice.
| Tackles Won | Duels Won | Aerials Won | Ball Recoveries | Effective Clearances | Effective Headed Clearances | Passing Accuracy | Dispossessed | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pontus Jansson | 1 | 9 | 6 | 7 | 14 | 11 | 92% | 0 | 90 |
By the end of the match the Leeds centre-back had a passing accuracy of 92 per cent, while he made a remarkable 25 effective clearances to keep QPR at bay (14 with his feet and 11 with his head).
Jansson also won nine duels, seven ball recoveries and six aerial battles, marking him out as Leeds’ best performing defender on the day.
It was not enough to seal all three points but Leeds remain in the play-off places and their fate is very much in their own hands.
