
Manchester City defender Philippe Sandler is expected to complete a post-deadline day move to Feyenoord later today.
According to Dutch publication NU, a transfer is likely to be completed today between Feyenoord and City for Sandler. However, no news has been confirmed yet from either side.
The 24-year-old centre-back is expected to join Feyenoord on a permanent transfer, with Sandler’s contract with City expiring at the end of this season after joining the club four years ago from PEC Zwolle.
The former Ajax youth academy graduate made just two appearances for City, with Sandler’s time in Manchester blighted by injuries as well as failed loan moves to the likes of R.S.C. Anderlecht and Troyes.
Sandler only ever made two appearances for City. And now, the centre-back is set to return to the Netherlands on a full-time basis with Feyenoord. As per the Manchester Evening News, the Premier League side are set to receive a nominal fee for the defender.
A former U-20 Dutch international, big things were once expected from Sandler. However, like many young players who City shave signed in previous years, the defender has failed to live up to the hype many laid upon during his formative years with Zwolle.

Making a move to City at. Young age is always a risk, and for Sandler, the transfer proved to be too big for the Dutch defender, who no doubt will be eager to restore his reputation this season with Feyenoord.
Indeed, the Eredivisie side are one of the biggest in the Netherlands and will give Sandler a platform to play regular minutes. And for the defender, this move is the perfect thing to happen to the 24-year-old after four seasons with City.
