Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur do have an interest in Nikola Milenkovic on We Are Tottenham TV.
Milenkovic has been linked with Spurs for the past few months now, and Romano has confirmed that Jose Mourinho’s side do ‘appreciate’ the central defender.
While Milenkovic apparently isn’t Tottenham’s first choice, he is a player who interests them.
And Romano has intriguingly suggested that a move to Spurs could appeal to the central defender, who seemingly wants to leave Fiorentina.
“Milenkovic is an interesting situation because his contract expires in two years,” Romano said.
“At the moment he doesn’t want to extend his contract and Fiorentina knows that he wants to move.
“Let’s see if Tottenham will go for him or not, but for sure he’s appreciated.

“At the moment he’s not the first choice, but he is appreciated.
“Also they have some rumours about Botman, so I think in the coming months will see.
“But at the moment these two names are interesting Tottenham for sure.”
If Milenkovic does want to leave Fiorentina then it is difficult to see them keeping him beyond the summer.
The Serbian is a valuable asset, and the Italian club surely won’t want to risk losing him on a free transfer.
La Nazione reported just last month that a bid of around £23 million may be enough to convince Fiorentina into selling.
Mourinho does still seem to be in the market for a central defender at Tottenham.
Spurs have one of the best defensive records in the Premier League this season, but Mourinho criticised the quality of his defensive players recently, and it seems that additions could be made in that area in the summer.
