Pascal Struijk has admitted that he would like his Leeds United teammates to pass to him more, in goalscoring positions.
The Whites warmed up for the Premier League return next week with a 2-1 mid-season victory over Real Sociedad.
With Struijk being a defender, he is always considered an unlikely source of goals but the way in which he took his against the Liga outfit indicates that he’s certainly adept at finding the net.
And speaking to LUTV after the game, the Leeds powerhouse has conceded that his teammates don’t always pass to him.
He said: “Yes, of course [I am proud of that strike]. I mean get in those positions quite a lot but then they don’t always pass the ball. So, I hope to prove to my team-mates that I can do something with it.”

It’s unclear whether Struijk is taking a shot at his teammates or not but in all probability, he most likely isn’t.
Still, it must be ever so frustrating when you find yourself in a rare goalscoring position and overlooked, based on the fact you’re a defender.
The big man has three Premier League goals under his belt overall, which isn’t a bad return and that in itself illustrates how he can be an asset at the opposite end of the field, too.
Leeds welcome Monaco to Yorkshire on Wednesday, before resuming their Premier League campaign with a visit of Manchester City a week later.
