Leeds United were linked with a move for Tosin Adarabioyo again last weekend.
According to Team Talk, the Premier League new boys have asked Manchester City about signing the 23-year-old powerhouse.
Adarabioyo, who stands at 6’5, spent last season on loan with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
And although Leeds are reportedly joined by other clubs in trying to sign him, there could be some movement on that front.
That’s because the big man was left out of Pep Guardiola’s squad for last night’s League Cup clash with Bournemouth, when the Spanish coach named a largely inexperienced first XI.
The reason for his absence remains to be seen but considering the speculation about his future, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if it was related to some transfer activity.
But do Leeds still need him?
Well, the Whites have just signed Diego Llorente and Marcelo Bielsa now has three recognised centre-back options, along with Liam Cooper and Robin Koch.
Then again, United were already in the deficit column with regards to central defenders before the season started, having failed to re-sign Ben White, while confusion remains surrounding Gaetano Berardi, who played in that position a lot last year.
Really, Cooper was Bielsa’s only proper centre-back before the addition of Koch, so signing the German and Llorente may not necessarily mean that another isn’t on the agenda..
