Thiago Alcantara is reportedly looking to leave Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

According to Sport, Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara “seriously” thinks that leaving Anfield this summer would be best for his career.

The £225,000-a-week (SalarySport) midfielder has had injury problems during his time at Liverpool, who have already signed two new midfielders, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, in the summer transfer window.

Sport has reported that Thiago dreams of going back to Barcelona, adding that the 32-year-old Spanish midfielder has clubs in Saudi Arabia, Spain and Turkey interested in him.

Liverpool would not miss Thiago Alcantara

In our opinion, Liverpool would not miss Thiago Alcantara if he left in the summer transfer window.

We do not think that Thiago has done enough to be missed by Liverpool fans.

Of course, a player of the Spanish star’s quality is always an asset in any squad, but injury problems have stopped him from showing the form he demonstrated at Bayern Munich.

Thiago has been able to make only 67 appearances in the Premier League during his time at Liverpool so far.

The Spanish midfielder has scored two goals and given four assists in those games.

The 32-year-old has been on the books of Liverpool since 2020 when he joined from Bayern.

While Thiago is a very classy player who is very good on the ball, he is not very dynamic.

And he is 32 now.

If Liverpool can get a decent transfer fee for Thiago, then they should just cash in on him and let him go.

It would make sense for the midfielder to go to another club and try to get back to his best.

A return to La Liga would not be a bad idea for Thiago, who made 14 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool last season.
