Sky Sports pundit Michael Dawson has said that Brennan Johnson could play as the main striker for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest player has said on Sky Sports News (12:14pm, September 2, 2023) that Brennan Johnson made the right decision in switching from the Reds to Spurs.
Tottenham signed Johnson from Premier League rivals Forest in the summer transfer window.
Dawson has noted that the 22-year-old Wales international forward can play anywhere across the front-line.
Brennan Johnson tipped to play as a striker for Tottenham Hotspur
The Sky Sports pundit has suggested that Johnson could play upfront as the number 9.
Dawson said about Johnson: “Where does he play? You have got Kulusevski there, you have got Sonny on the left, you have got Richarlison.
“Does he go in and be the number 9? He can play all across the front-three.
“He is lightning-quick. When he runs at you, balls in behind, it’s a great move for him.”

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou plays Brennan Johnson as the number 9.
Richarlison is not having the best of times at Tottenham, and while Son Heung-min banged in a hat-trick this past weekend, the South Korean may not always be deployed down the middle.
Johnson is a very versatile forward who can play as the main man upfront or out wide.
The 22-year-old has made 72 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The forward has scored four goals and given 11 assists in those games.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
