Liverpool’s Pedro Chirivella is about to leave the club on a free transfer, according to a report.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has been linked to a number of clubs in recent weeks as his contract at Anfield draws to a close.
Levante in Spain were strongly rumoured to be signing the Liverpool midfielder, but a report from France indicates he’s headed for Ligue 1.
According to French outlet 20 Minutes and GFFN, Chirivella will join Nantes on a Bosman on Monday or Tuesday.
Chirivella, who turns 23 later this month, is one of a couple of players who could be leaving Liverpool on a free transfer.
There’s another high-profile exit looming in the form of Adam Lallana, who is also out of contract on Merseyside this summer.
Lallana joined the Reds in 2014 and he’d be bitterly disappointed if he misses the Premier League title celebrations, if there is indeed anything to celebrate.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were about to clinch a first-ever Premier League title at the time the season was suspended and it still remains to be seen how the 2019-20 campaign is going to be concluded, but Chirivella and Lallana may not be around to see it either way.
