Former Liverpool talent Kamil Grabara claimed earlier this summer that he could become the world’s finest goalkeeper.

He said: “[My ambition is] just to win the Champions League and become the best goalkeeper in the world. There is always one who is the best and I think I have the abilities to achieve it so I believe in myself.”

At 22, Grabara certainly has a long way to go before he proves himself in professional football – let alone proves himself as a world-class goalkeeper.

But he may potentially be on the way.

Liverpool sold the Polish stopper to FC Copenhagen this past summer and it’s fair to say that he has been in stunning form.

Grabara has managed 13 competitive games across all competitions for the Danish outfit this season.

And so far, he has amassed a very impressive six clean sheets which, from 13 games, is one hell of a way in which to prove that you’re en route to becoming a fine keeper.

On the cheap?

This is looking like far better business for Copenghagen than it was for Liverpool.

And that’s because Michael Edwards only got some £3 million for the Poland Under-21 international.

That looked like a decent price at the time because Grabara was nowhere near breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s senior side at Anfield.

And Edwards also secured a 20 percent sell-on clause, meaning that if he’s sold for £20 million at one point, Liverpool will pocket £4 million.

But if this kid winds up fetching that amount or anywhere close to over the coming years, the Premier League giants will still feel like they lost, irrespective of what the 20 percent sell-on clause is.
