Bobby Kamwa has finally taken to Instagram to share a heartfelt post after it was confirmed in the summer he had left Leeds United – and now, the attacker has also updated fans that he has signed a deal with League One side Burton.

Kamwa, 22, came through the Leeds academy but after only managing 11 appearances for the club’s Under-21 side, his contract was allowed to expire. During the second half of last season, he played seven times on loan at Dunfermline.

A number of players left the Leeds Under-21 side in the summer. Ryan Edmondson joined Carlisle, Nohan Kenneh went to Hibernian, Josh Galloway to Annan and now more. Kamwa was on that list, but had remained without a club.

Now, that has changed. Updating his Instagram with a heartfelt post to Leeds and the club’s supporters, he thanked the Whites for the nine years he has spent at the club. He also wished Leeds well in the future, with an array of photos.

Now, Kamwa has signed a short-term deal until January with Burton. Brewers manager Dino Maamria – who has replaced Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink – has already said that they will try to keep Kamwa on more of a long-term basis.

Burton certainly need some inspiration from somewhere. They sit in 23rd place after a poor start to the League One campaign, winning just two of their 11 league games – already conceding 26 times. Kamwa will look to help that.

He also took to Instagram to share his delight at finally finding a new club, following his release by Leeds earlier in the summer. It is a good move for Kamwa, giving him a chance to reignite his career at the third level of English football.
