It is not too late for Newcastle to show interest in Geoffrey Kondogbia.

Geoffrey Kondogbia’s form on loan at Valencia has begun to remind clubs of his talent which once made him one of Europe’s most wanted young players.
The central midfielder struggled at Inter Milan last season but has looked like a player reborn at a rejuvenated Valencia side.
Tuttomercatoweb report Tottenham and Liverpool are continuing to monitor the £22 million rated midfielder – but he is a player Newcastle United should be targeting too.

Kondogbia is Paul Pogba’s former midfield partner at France under-21 level, at at 24, still has plenty of time to kick on.
He is built to play in the Premier League, and at 6ft 2″ he would be an imposing player in Newcastle’s midfield which they currently lack.
Kondogbia is a defensive midfielder but has managed to get on the scoresheet this season, netting in a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid.

Valencia are in pole position for his signature, but Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is likely to be paying attention to what his former side are doing.
He is averaging three tackles per game at Valencia. Currently loanee Mikel Merino is averaging 2.71 per game at Newcastle – and after that nobody comes close, with Chancel Mbemba next at 1.4 per game.
It would require a record fee from Newcastle to sign Kondogbia, but he could be worth it for them.
