It looks like there’s a lot of substance to a report about Bryan Gil and Tottenham Hotspur star Sergio Reguilon.
The Spaniard is reportedly set to join Spurs in what will be a £21 million move, according to The Athletic.
But the report from midweek added that the Sevilla 20-year-old winger – for whom Erik Lamela will go the other way – has already reached out to fellow Spaniard Reguilon about what life is like in North London.
And it’s very plausible that is true, based on an Instagram exchange between the pair.
Gil, who is on international duty with Spain for the Olympics, posted a message on social media after the 0-0 draw with Egypt.
And the Tottenham left-back was among those to respond to the young winger.
Taking shape
The agent of Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini has also confirmed that his client is heading to the Lilywhites.
And finally Spurs’ transfer window is starting to take shape, with those two expected to be the first through the door.
It took a while for the ball to get rolling because Tottenham didn’t even have a manager until earlier this month, until hiring Nuno Espirito Santo as Jose Mourinho’s replacement.
But things are looking a lot more optimistic – especially in light of Gil’s exchange with Reguilon.
