Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Gift Orban seemingly liked what he saw from Harry Kane against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Harry Kane’s four-goal showing against Shakhtar Donetsk caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur target Gift Orban.

Spurs are gearing up for the new Premier League campaign and faced Shakhtar in their penultimate pre-season friendly on Sunday.

All eyes were on the team sheet to see if Kane would be included against the backdrop of persistent Bayern Munich rumours.

Sure enough, Kane was in the Tottenham side and he ran riot in front of goal.

Kane smashed four goals in a 5-1 Tottenham win, once again showing his goalscoring prowess.

Nobody really knows if Kane still be a Tottenham player come the end of the transfer window, and Spurs would be wise to have striker targets in mind.

One of them is Gift Orban – and he has left Tottenham fans wondering about a potential move.

Gift Orban ‘likes’ Harry Kane’s Tottenham goals

Gent striker Orban emerged as a serious Tottenham target last week.

Reports from the Daily Mail suggested that Tottenham had identified Orban as a potential signing if Kane moves on.

Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad went a step further by claiming that Tottenham had made contact over a deal for Orban.

Football London even report today that Tottenham have a ‘strong interest ‘in signing Orban this summer.

The Nigerian has become an absolute sensation, smashing 22 goals in 24 games since joining Gent from Stabaek in January of this year.

Orban looks to be a real talent at just 21 and he has set Tottenham tongues wagging.

Spurs posted a video on Instagram of Kane’s goals against Shakhtar and Orban was seen ‘liking’ the post.

That has been captured on Twitter too with Tottenham fans left wondering whether Orban could be foreshadowing a move to Spurs.

Orban may just be appreciating one of the greatest strikers in the game; he’s a young forward and could certainly learn a thing or two from Kane.

Orban being an unused substitute in Gent’s 1-0 win at Mechelen on Sunday may also leave Spurs fans wondering about a deal.

It would be a surprise to see an imminent move for Orban though, especially with Tottenham already set to sign another striker in Argentinian talent Alejo Veliz.

Orban is a name to keep an eye on though and he may yet follow in Kane’s footsteps by leading the line for Spurs.
