Tottenham Hotspur decided to release Kallum Cesay this summer and he has now joined Bundesliga side Werder Bremen on trial.
Kallum Cesay has been given the chance to shine with Werder Bremen after leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Not everybody coming through the Tottenham youth ranks can become a superstar like Harry Kane.
In fact, even becoming a first-team player has been a big ask in recent times with Tottenham struggling to bring through young players.
Some youngsters have to move on for first-team action elsewhere and Cesay is now hoping to find that in Germany…

Werder Bremen take Kallum Cesay on trial
Cesay was released by Tottenham over the summer having failed to really push for first-team action in North London.
A right back or midfielder, Cesay was previously in the West Ham United youth ranks before joining Tottenham.
The 21-year-old – who represents Sierra Leone at international level – was let go and has found life tricky as a free agent.
Cesay joined Norwegian side Haugesund on trial earlier this summer but wasn’t able to secure a contract.
Bundesliga side Werder Bremen have now confirmed on Twitter that they have taken Cesay on trial and he will train with the club for the next few days.
Cesay has a great chance to join a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues, receiving a golden opportunity following his Spurs exit.

Clemens Fritz comments on Cesay trial
Werder director of football Clement Fritz has now told Bild that the Bundesliga have been aware of Cesay’s ability for a while now.
Fritz claims that Werder have been offered the chance to look at Cesay and they have taken it, bringing him to Germany.
Firtz noted Cesay’s versatility and his ‘very good’ education in the Tottenham youth ranks as big selling points.
The former defender added that there is no decision on the cards just yet with Cesay set to train for the ‘next few days’.
“We have known him for a long time. He was offered to us and the international break is now a good time for it. Kallum is a young player who enjoyed a very good education at Tottenham. He can be used flexibly and can play multiple positions.”
“The plan is initially for the player to train with us for the next few days. Then we’ll see how it goes. A decision is not yet in sight. It can go either way,” he added.
