Celtic target Gue-sung Cho has shone at the World Cup so far, where he ended up in a heated clash with Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday afternoon.
What’s the story?
Well, it was the Scottish Sun who revealed that Ange Postecoglou wants to sign the South Korea international, and the 57-year-old surely enjoyed seeing the striker stand up to Ronaldo.
With South Korea in need of a win, the Portugal No.7 took his time to leave the pitch after being substituted in the 65th minute, which clearly angered Cho.
Keen to get the game restarted, the Celtic target – who has scored 21 goals for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors so far this season – told Ronaldo to hurry up, which sparked a furious reaction from the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, the 37-year-old said: “What happened was before my substitution, the South Korea player told me to get off quickly. I told him to shut up as he doesn’t have that authority.”
Images later showed that it was Cho who told Ronaldo to speed things up.

Cho and South Korea had the last laugh after Ronaldo took his time to leave the field, as Hwang Hee-chan scored a 90th minute winner to send his nation into the Round of 16, at the expense of Uruguay.
Despite failing to score in the 2-1 win over Portugal, Cho’s brace against Ghana played a huge part in South Korea progressing to the Round of 16, as they qualified ahead of Uruguay on goals scored.
Celtic must sign Gue-sung Cho
As you may have heard, Giorgos Giakoumakis looks set to leave Celtic Park after a breakdown in contract negotiations – according to the Daily Record.
If that is true, then Postecoglou must make a move for Cho, who has really made a name for himself at the World Cup.
The Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors No.10 would represent a wise long-term investment from the Hoops, as he is only 24 years of age, and quite clearly knows how to find the back of the net.
If Giakoumakis really is set to leave Glasgow, the Bhoys could do worse than bring Cho to Celtic Park.
