Niklas Sule does not feel Bayern Munich value his efforts, making it near on impossible the reported Newcastle United transfer target signs a new contract, according to Sky Germany.
The Germany centre-half only has six-months left on his existing terms with the Bundesliga giants. He penned his current deal upon joining Der FCB from Hoffenheim in 2017 for €25m (£21.5m), but is no longer a guaranteed starter since Julian Nagelsmann took to the helm.
Sule has only started 10 of his 15 Bundesliga outings so far this term and six across all cup competitions. He has additionally only opened one of Bayern’s last six league fixtures.

Nagelsmann has instead favoured Lucas Hernandez beside Dayot Upamecano, or Benjamin Pavard in a three-man backline. Sule also made his starting roles against Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen in October from right-back whilst Pavard was suspended.
Sule has brought stability to the Bayern defence whenever Nagelsmann has fielded the 26-year-old. Yet his constant rotation has left the 37-cap international questioning his future.
Sky Germany’s Marc Behrenbeck now feels it is very unlikely that the Frankfurt native will sign a new deal. Instead, he claims it will be “difficult or even impossible to convince him to extend his contract. His departure [for free next summer] is as good as sealed.”

Newcastle land Sule transfer boost amid Bayern Munich setback
Despite Sule’s rotational presence in Nagelsmann’s plans, the Bayern Munich boss does want the reported Newcastle transfer target to sign a new contract at the Allianz Arena.
Reports by TZ claimed Der FCB were ready to up Sule’s wage from €8m-a-year (£131k-a/w) before tax to €10m (£164k-a/w). But his ongoing plight instead hands the Magpies a boost.
That’s because Bild journalist Christian Falk noted in November Sule is interested in joining Newcastle’s project after their Saudi-led owners spoke with the Bayern defender’s agent.
Newcastle can make Sule feel valued with a transfer to St James’ Park once his Bayern Munich contract expires. They could also look to raid the Allianz in January, with boss Eddie Howe determined to sign a centre-half next month to aid the Toon’s fight for survival.
