Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams wants to stay at Elland Road until the summer of 2023 at least and does not want to move to Manchester United in the middle of the season, according to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport.

Jones has told GiveMeSport that he has been informed that USA international midfielder Adams wants to stay at Leeds for the rest of the season and then assess his future.

The 23-year-old moved to Leeds from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022.

It cost the West Yorkshire club £20 million in transfer fees (Sky Sports).

Football Insider reported in October 2022 that Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Adams, having started to take interest in him when he was at RB Leipzig.

Manchester United-linked Tyler Adams to stay at Leeds United

Jones said about Adams: “A move to Manchester United is not on at the moment. That’s not one that is active at all.

“From what I’m told, he’s going to see out the season and probably see what lands after that point.

“But it won’t surprise me at all to see him being linked with some big moves at the end of the season.”

Elland Road stay

In our view, Leeds United are unlikely to sell Tyler Adams in the summer of 2023 and will simply not let him go in the middle of the season – to Manchester United or any other club for that matter.

The 23-year-old is one of the best players at Leeds, and head coach Jesse Marsch will surely not sell him in the January transfer window.

Now, of course, Adams, who played for the USA at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, could have interest from big clubs in the summer of 2023, but that does not mean that Leeds will sell the American after just one season.
