Speaking to Radio Goal on Kiss Kiss Napoli (via Football London), transfer expert Ciro Venerato revealed that Napoli haven’t paid their players since July.
The Serie A outfit are struggling financially amid the global pandemic, and Venerato states that the players are growing annoyed at the situation.
This could well mean that Gennaro Gattuso’s side need to sell some players to raise a bit of cash.

Lorenzo Insigne
The Italy international was actually a target for Jurgen Klopp in 2019, with La Repubblica claiming that Liverpool submitted a £61 million bid.
So far this season, the 29-year-old has impressed with four goals in seven Serie A outings. With Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino failing to deliver the goods, perhaps another forward wouldn’t go amiss at Anfield.
Kalidou Koulibaly
This would be a signing on par with the arrival of Virgil van Dijk, and involves a player who is actually said to be in the Reds’ sights according to the Mirror.
The Senegal international is widely regarded as one of Europe’s best centre-backs, so much so that Carlo Ancelotti likened him to Paolo Maldini, as the BBC‘s Serie A writer Chloe Beresford detailed.
Signing Koulibaly wouldn’t just be taking advantage of Napoli for the sake of it. The centre-back department is arguably the area most in need of a new face at Anfield.
Youngsters Rhys Williams and Nathaniel Phillips have deputised well this season in the absence of Joe Gomez and van Dijk. However, a new first-team addition would be beneficial to Klopp, without a doubt.
