Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai’s agent has confirmed that the Gunners are interested in his client during a discussion hosted by the Hungarian version of Forbes (via SportWitness).
The agent reportedly claimed that Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder is real, and that is certainly an exciting prospect for the Gunners.
Szoboszlai looks like the next top prospect to come from the RB Salzburg production line, following in the footsteps of Sadio Mane and Erling Haaland.
The Hungarian has been ripping it up in Austria, providing five assists in six games in his domestic league, while also netting twice in three games in the Champions League.
Arsenal could do with a bit more creativity in the midfield with Dani Ceballos set to return to Real Madrid next summer and Mesut Ozil seemingly having no future at the club, and the 20-year-old could be the answer to their prayers.
To make things even better, the Hungarian reportedly has a £23 million release clause, meaning that he is an incredibly affordable option for the Gunners.
Of course, such a talented player with a low release clause is going to garner attention from more than just one club, so Arsenal will have a lot of competition for his signature.
The man himself has spoken about links to Juventus and Bayern in the past, so the Gunners don’t seem to have a clear path to signing him.
However, it’s still good to hear that the London outfit are interested in such a talented player.
