Leeds United loanee Oliver Sarkic has scored two in two.

A general view of Elland Road Stadium prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion at Elland Road on October 17, 2015 in Leeds, England.

Leeds United loanee Oliver Sarkic scored his second goal in as many games as the under-23s suffered another defeat.

The 20-year-old netted a spectacular opener against Birmingham City, lobbing the goalkeeper from 25 yards out.

Leeds collapsed in the second half and lost 3-1, but for Sarkic at least, the game showed he is continuing to make progress.

He scored in the under-23s last game, a 3-2 loss to Huddersfield, and Leeds should be quietly encouraged about the on loan striker.

Sarkic signed for Leeds on deadline day from Benfica, moving on loan until the end of December.

This has put Sarkic under pressure to perform straight away, in order to either secure a loan extension or a permanent move.

Sarkic is currently at the front of the pecking order in the under-23s, and is helping his chances of earning a permanent deal.

Leeds will soon have to start making a decision and discuss Sarkic’s future with Benfica one way or another. He is making a good case to be kept around.
