At the start of the season, Marcelo Bielsa began to ease Crysencio Summerville into the first-team at Leeds.
The 20-year-old made four Premier League appearances in the first nine games of the campaign, and it seemed as if he had worked hard enough to move away from the Under-23 setup entirely.
However, since his fourth Premier League appearance of the season, Summerville has only made one more outing in England’s top-flight after falling out of favour under Bielsa.
Now, we think the exciting Dutch wonderkid could be about to play a huge role under Jesse Marsch, following an announcement from Elland Road.
Crysencio Summerville could now burst into life at Leeds
Marsch has named his backroom staff at Leeds, and he has decided to promote Mark Jackson from Under-23 manager to first-team coach.
In our view, that is a huge boost for Summerville.
Jackson must know the £1.3m man like the back of his hand, having worked alongside the tricky winger this season, as well as last term.

Nobody at Leeds knows what Summerville is capable of more than Jackson.
In the 2020/21 campaign – Summerville’s first in England after joining from Feyenoord – he scored six goals and provided six assists in just 12 Premier League 2 outings.
From our point of view, we believe Jackson will tell Marsch all about the Netherlands Under-21 international’s talents, and we should see plenty of him before the season is over.
Crysencio Summerville can play a huge role for Leeds
It may seem lazy to say that Jackson will get Summerville involved under Marsch, although there is more to it than that.

As things stand, Leeds only have Raphinha and Jack Harrison as natural wingers, so their options in that department are thin – very thin.
Therefore, if things aren’t going to plan out wide, Jackson will surely suggest to Marsch that he should introduce Summerville.
It would be a big call with the club’s Premier League status on the line, although Summerville is more than talented enough to make an impact.
