Danny Welbeck was once again profligate in front of goal, but he worked hard for Arsenal in their 3-0 home win against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal scored three times against Burnley on Saturday, but Danny Welbeck was not on target.
Alexis Sanchez scored twice and Calum Chambers netted his first senior goal, as the Gunners eased to a 3-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
Welbeck started the encounter and played for 80 minutes, but the England international striker had a largely mixed game.
| Goals | Total Shots | Shots on Target | Goal Assist | Key Passes | Total Pass | Accurate Pass | Touches | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Danny Welbeck | 0 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 32 | 28 | 50 | 1 | 80 |
As the stats above show, Welbeck had five shot, but only one of them was on target. That is a shot accuracy of 20% – it is truly poor.
However, there were other areas in which Welbeck excelled. The 23-year-old looked very lively in attack and made runs that put the Burnley defence in distress. Welbeck created two chances, had 87.5% pass accuracy and 50 touches during his 80 minutes on the pitch.
It was a mixed performance from Welbeck, who will certainly want to score in his next appearance for Arsenal.
