Liverpool winger says he has sent a message to the club.

Forgotten Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic says he has sent a message to the Reds by scoring for Anderlecht this weekend.
Markovic is out on loan at the Belgian side and this was the first goal of his loan spell.
It is the fourth loan spell of Markovic’s career at Liverpool, in the fourth different country.

Speaking after the strike, Markovic told Voetbal Krant: “This goal is to show Liverpool that I’m still alive and I am still the same good footballer they bought.”
Liverpool spent £20 million to sign Markovic from Partizan Belgrade and it is this high valuation which has made the Reds reluctant to sell him for a big loss.
He added: “They asked for an unrealistic transfer fee and would not let me go permanently, even though I didn’t play there anymore.”

Markovic’s last appearance for Liverpool was back in 2015.
Sadly for the Serbian, Liverpool’s attention is so focused on the Champions League semi-final with Roma that his ‘message’ may not have even been noticed at Anfield.
His chances of playing again for the Reds seem slim, especially with young talent Harry Wilson ripping up the Championship with Hull City on loan.
