Gael Kakuta has scored for the second week in a row in La Liga.
Gael Kakuta is one of the 26 players at the club currently out on loan from Chelsea. He has followed up spells with the likes of Fulham, Bolton, Dijon, Vitesse and Lazio with a spell at La Liga club Rayo Vallecano.
Kakuta was a controversial signing for the club, which saw them cited for an illegal approach and looking like facing a transfer ban. But he has not pulled on a Chelsea shirt in anger since January 2011, so has to show what he is capable of whilst on his current loan spell.
And to be fair, he is doing just that. Last week he bagged a goal against Elche in what was an eventual 3-2 defeat and he was at it again this afternoon.
Kakuta opened the scoring against Villarreal in the 22nd minute, as the Madrid side looked to push on and pick up their poor start to the campaign.
Unfortunately for Kakuta it was a case of Groundhog Day. As while he may have bagged a goal, he was once again on the losing team again. The result, 4-2 as Kakuta’s team toiled as he soared.
