Earlier today, the Premier League announced that Mikel Arteta had won the Manager of the Month award for March, beating Jürgen Klopp to the prize.
Antonio Conte, Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rodgers were also among the nominees, but we feel it’s Klopp who should feel more aggrieved than any of them.
What’s the story?
Well, in our view, the £192,307-a-week Liverpool man deserved to be named Premier League Manager of the Month.
Arteta won the award after winning three out of four Premier League games for Arsenal throughout March, conceding four goals while scoring six.
However, Liverpool actually won all three of their games, and did so without conceding a single goal.
Of course, they played a game less, but you can only beat what’s put in front of you, and the Reds did just that.
Premier League must recognise Jürgen Klopp

So far this season, Liverpool have only lost two Premier League games from 29 outings, winning 21 of those clashes.
The Reds have already scored 75 goals in those 29 games, conceding just 20, earning them a goal difference of +55, which is better than any other Premier League side.
With that in mind, you’ll be baffled to know that Klopp hasn’t actually won the Premier League Manager of the Month award this season.

We don’t quite understand how that’s possible, given the exceptional results earned by the German.
Hopefully, the 54-year-old will be compensated for this injustice with a Premier League winners medal at the end of the season.
