Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz with documents now exchanged.
Alejo Veliz is nearing a move to Tottenham Hotspur and has already spoken to Giovani Lo Celso about the switch to London.
Reports from just a few days ago suggested that Tottenham were moving to sign Veliz.
A formal offer had been made but negotiations were ongoing with Rosario Central keen to keep hold of Veliz until the end of 2023.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Tottenham have exchanged documents on the deal for Veliz.
Romano states that Tottenham have struck an initial deal worth $15million (£11.8million) for Veliz but the deal could be worth $23million (£18million) down the line.
The Italian noted that Alejo is flying to London today ahead of undergoing his medical with Tottenham on Monday.
Veliz is a physical centre forward at around 6ft 2in tall and has already scored some impressive headers for Rosario Central.
The 19-year-old has now scored 19 times in 62 games for Rosario Central and Tottenham clearly believe that he has the potential to become a Premier League star.

Tottenham-bound Alejo Veliz has spoken to Giovani Lo Celso
A key resource for Veliz will be Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
Heading to a foreign country can be daunting for any young player but especially when the jump to the Premier League is so big.
Lo Celso came up in the Rosario Central ranks just like Veliz and the Spurs midfielder was even born in Rosario; Veliz was born just outside in Gödeken.

Romano now quotes Veliz as saying that he has already spoken to Lo Celso and he will do his best to support the young striker.
Lo Celso’s future at Tottenham has been uncertain but a strong pre-season campaign means he may stay under Ange Postecoglou.
Romano adds that Veliz has said ‘it’s imminent’ about his Tottenham move and confirms that he isn’t heading back to Rosario Central on loan.
It looks like Tottenham are keeping hold of Veliz and will now hope to bed him into the first-team squad alongside fellow Argentinians Lo Celso and Cristian Romero.
