Grzegorz Krychowiak found the net for Poland against Georgia yesterday.
Arsenal are said to be considering a move for a defensive midfielder this January, with plenty of names such as Sami Khedira, Christoph Kramer and William Carvalho all being mentioned.
Polish international Grzegorz Krychowiak is also believed to be a target. The Sevilla midfielder has been in good form recently and has attracted attention from The Gunners – despite only recently making the move to La Liga.
Last weekend the news broke that Arsenal may have received a boost in their pursuit of the Pole. The Sevilla midfielder reportedly has a release clause in his contract of around £23.5 million.
It has since been reported that Arsenal are willing to spend £18 million on the player.
Now Krychowiak is not a player known for finding the net. But every now and again he does pop up and find a goal from somewhere. Yesterday he did just that for Poland.
He netted for Poland as they dismissed Georgia in a 4-0 thrashing away from home, his goal the second of the game and coming in the 71st minute.
Nobody would at all claim it was a particularly impressive strike. He tucked away a deflected header into the net from about half a yard out.
But you certainly don’t see the likes of Mikel Arteta or Mathieu Flamini coming up with these strikes.
