Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season is set to begin, and there is likely to be a prominent role for teenage striker Shayon Harrison.
With Harry Kane just beginning his summer break after England’s Euro 2016 elimination, Spurs are without their main striker.

So far the club have failed to buy any forwards this summer, despite being linked to Vincent Janssen, Antonio Sanabria, and Michy Batshuayi, who has moved to Chelsea.

This leaves Harrison with a crucial window in which he can work alongside first team players, and crucially impress head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Harrison turns 19 in just under a fortnight’s time, and will be keen to start kicking on and even emulating Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
He made the step up to under-21 football last year and adjusted instantly, scoring nine goals in 13 games.
Harrison has a month to impress before Spurs have to come to any kind of decision regarding what to do with him this season.
Had they already snapped up Vincent Janssen or another striker available to join right away, then Harrison would very much be taking more of a back seat during pre-season, but as it stands, he has a real chance to shine and prove his worth.
