As Arsenal gear themselves up to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, Lino Sousa has been pictured in first-team training.

It was reported that the 18-year-old has wowed a majority of the Gunners staff, including Mikel Arteta and has been considered as a sure shot member of the senior side in the future.

With Arsenal aiming to keep their Premier League title hopes alive against Brighton & Hove Albion alive, Lino Sousa has featured in training.

The teenager is known to be one of the most prodigious young players at the club, renowned for being the modern left-back with his devastating forays forward while being defensively clued up.

In April last year, former Gunners youth coach Kevin Betsy branded the talent as ‘outstanding’ via the club’s official website, which goes to show how highly rated he already is.

As all eyes will be on Arsenal to see whether they can pile the pressure on Manchester City against Brighton, Lino Sousa was spotted training with the senior team on Getty Images.

The Lisbon-born defender was captured grappling with Thomas Partey and seemingly defending a corner whilst being stood in front of Aaron Ramsdale.

HITC View: Could be the long-term Kieran Tierney replacement

For starters, with Oleksandr Zinchenko deemed out for the season due to injury, it is likely that the Englishman takes his spot in the roster.

But more importantly, if Lino Sousa impressed in training ahead of games such as against Brighton, perhaps he could replace Kieran Tierney at Arsenal for years to come.

It seems probable at this point that Tierney, who has constantly been speculated with an exit will look to leave the club after being on the periphery of things this season.

While Arsenal could go out and sign a new understudy at left-back, with how talented Sousa is, perhaps they could have an in-house solution on their hands.
