According to CalcioMercato, Inter Milan are now one of the teams in for Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutch midfielder has been linked with an exit from Anfield for a while now, with a move to Barcelona being touted for a number of weeks, but it seems as though La Blaugrana aren’t the only team monitoring the situation.

Inter Milan are in for Wijnaldum, and unlike Barcelona, they aren’t just looking to bring him in on a Bosman.

Indeed, the Italian outfit are supposedly preparing a January bid for the midfielder, but that depends on a number of exits from San Siro, with Inter looking to shift the likes of Christian Eriksen and Radja Nainggolan.

Liverpool are hoping to keep hold of the 30-year-old, reportedly offering him a new £105,000-per-week deal, but Barcelona are apparently willing to match that offer, and we don’t quite know what sort of package Inter are willing to put together for Wijnaldum as of yet.

Wijnaldum is certainly in a great position with three of the biggest clubs in Europe wrestling over his signature, but he will soon have a tough choice to make.

Historically, Barcelona are probably the biggest team of the three, and he would get the chance to play alongside some of the world’s best players if he went to Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is a club that he knows and they are one of the best teams in the world, but it may be time for a change after four years at Anfield.

Inter are certainly an interesting team at the moment, it’s a long time since they actually won anything, but the 18-time Serie A winners do have one of the world’s best managers at the helm, and Wijnaldum could help restore them to former glory.

This saga is certainly one to keep an eye on in the coming months.
