The Telegraph report frustration is growing within the Arsenal side at Mesut Ozil’s undroppable status amid his disappointing form.

Ozil has the stage later this month to deliver against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, and it is fair to say he needs to.

His campaign has not been a total washout, with the playmaker scoring one of the truly great solo goals in recent years late against Ludogorets.

Yet fans want to see consistency from the German, and the club record signing is not living up to his billing at the Gunners.

A star performance against Bayern will count for little if it is couple with another unproductive spell in the Premier League, with Arsenal at risk of falling out of the top four.
