Everton have enjoyed mixed success in the past when it comes to bringing South American footballers to Goodison Park.
The likes of Richarlison, Allan and Yerry Mina have been hits, although the signings of Jo and Enner Valencia proved to be miserable additions.
Now, Rafa Benitez and Marcel Brands could be about to add another South American to this chapter in Everton’s history.
What’s the story?
Well, according to Torcedores, Everton have made a proposal to sign Internacional striker Yuri Alberto.
The 20-year-old sensation has scored 18 goals in 49 games this season, while also providing four assists.

The Brazilian giants are refusing to sell their No.11 for less than £17m, which seems a fair price given how prolific he is for them.
Everton could have the new Neymar
You may not have heard much about Alberto, so a comparison could be helpful in that respect.
Interestingly, the youngster has been likened to Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil star Neymar, a man who cost the Parisians £200m.
The similarities are endless.
Both forwards are Brazilian, are more than capable of scoring goals on a regular basis, and both started their careers at Santos.
If Alberto ends up becoming even a third of the player Neymar is, Everton would be foolish not to stump up the £17m asking price.
In our view, Brands should get this deal done before it’s too late.
