Well, it’s looking increasingly like Liverpool are going to lose Georginio Wijnaldum this summer.

The Netherlands international is a couple of months away from leaving Liverpool on a free transfer and although an offer remain on the table, the 30-year-old does not appear keen to sign a new deal.

With that in mind, the Reds could and reportedly are already looking for his replacement and according to Mundo Deportivo, they have found one.

The Spanish report claims that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a very big fan of AZ Alkmaar midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, who has scored 17 goals and set up another seven in all competitions this season.

Mundo Deportivo adds that Klopp himself has watched the player and that he views him as a perfect candidate to replace Wijnaldum in the Anfield club’s midfield next season and beyond.

Michael Edwards is usually the man who calls the shots on transfers at Liverpool and if Klopp is the one pushing for this one then it indicates his faith in the 23-year-old Dutchman, who has one cap for the Netherlands.
