Leeds United are claimed to be interested in Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban, according to Ghana Soccernet.
Ekuban is relatively unheard of in England, and that’s no surprise given that he has been playing in the Albanian top flight this past season.
The quality of opposition there will be far below what he could expect to face at Leeds United, but he has performed admirably, netting a credible 17 goals in 34 games.

If Ekuban was Leeds’ sole summer striker buy, then it would not be an exciting move, but if he is brought in along with another forward then he would be an ideal third choice forward.
Leeds need strength in depth if they are to challenge seriously for promotion, and that means real cover for top goalscorer Chris Wood.
Ekuban would be only that, but he should not be immediately dismissed. A confident striker who knows where the goal is could give Leeds the energy they need and be a useful option off the bench.
Leeds were the second lowest scorers out of the teams to finish in the top eight this season, and bringing in more finishers should be a serious priority.
