Salomon Rondon has revealed that he would love to play for Newcastle United again if the opportunity presented itself.
The towering striker enjoyed a fine season-long loan at Newcastle under Rafael Benitez a couple of years ago.
Rondon, who was on loan from West Bromwich Albion, netted 11 Premier League goals for the Magpies.
For a team threatened by relegation to the Championship, that’s quite a decent return and fans of the St James’s Park club really treated him like one of their own for his work ethic during his loan.

But the 31-year-old has said that if another stint at Newcastle was a possibility, he’d jump at the chance.
He told The Guardian: “If, in January, I had a chance to sign again for Newcastle I would do it for sure because they gave me a lot and I felt so much when I was at St James’.”
Will Newcastle need him in January? Well, you’d hope not because it would mean that Callum Wilson and Joelinton are struggling.
With Wilson coming in for £20 million this summer, United have now spent an eye-watering £60 million on goalscorers over the past year or so.
And if they’re desperate enough to need a Rondon who’s been plying his trade in China for the last 15 months then it’s a pretty sobering thought, even the player might admit.
