Mo Elyounoussi has revealed that Celtic fans certainly played their part in getting him back to Paradise.

The Southampton winger signed on for another season-long loan with Neil Lennon’s side last week.

Elyounoussi, a £16 million signing by the Premier League club in 2018, impressed for Celtic last term, scoring seven goals in 12 starts during the first half of the campaign, but got injured and barely featured again before the season was prematurely finished in April.

The 2020-21 term is a truly massive one for the Bhoys, who have the chance to make history.

Celtic have been smashing all sorts of records over the past few years, but none mean more to the Parkhead faithful than being the first Scottish side to win 10 Premiership titles in a row – and they’re on nine.

Those on the blue half of the Old Firm divide will be reminded of it for years and years, and Elyounoussi has revealed on Twitter that seeing how much it means to the supporters helped convince him to come back.

Lennon’s side kick off their 10-in-a-row bid on August 2 with a visit of Hamilton.
